Trove Table Talk: 2019 Design Trends

We are kicking off 2019 by exploring new home decor trends for the year ahead. Our fabric guru, Liz shares her inspiration and predictions of what she thinks we will see in these upcoming months. 

There seems to be a change this year. We are welcoming back colors! Say farewell to greys and neutrals and hello to eye-catching, vibrant colors. We're looking forward to seeing fun paint colors and exotic fabrics again! Decorating is taking some cues from the 1930 Art Deco curves and bold graphic colors from the 1980s. Pastels will be mixed with warm earth tones to create an inviting sanctuary.

Celebrate jewel tones with moody shades of pine green, warm greys, and blacks. Greens are cooking in the kitchen with natural wood accents. We expect to see a trend of contrasting dark and light tones in kitchen spaces. Imagine deep, evergreen cabinetry contrasted against light hardwood floors as shown here in this stunning design by Emily Henderson. 

We love the clean, minimalistic trend of all-white walls, but 2019 is the year to welcome prints and patterns back into your home. Create an accent wall with a tracing of delicate florals or a monochromatic geometric print to add more personality to your living spaces.
