Bringing Life to Your Everyday Spaces

When we think about decorating and designing our home, we tend to put a lot of emphasis on the areas our guests will see most. The smaller rooms or walkways are sometimes forgotten, even though those are typically the ones we as homeowners use the most. Our friend and talented interior designer, Kelly Scott, made sure all of those boxes were checked in the Trove Parade of Homes showcase. 

When you walk through the front door you are immediately captivated by this clean, modern entryway. With the all-around design of updated traditional, the Nolan console creates an elongating look into the rest of the home. Don't be afraid to make a bold statement with lighting like the Oxlan lantern. 

As you ascend the stairs, you are greeted by a large surf landscape and lots of fresh greenery. This stylish space certainly has us wishing for warmer weather! The loft is typically an everyday pass through, but why not make it a functional space? With natural lighting and light hardwood floors, this is not an area that we would just want to pass through. 

The Grier lounge chairs paired with the Norwood coffee table creates a cozy escape. Kelly used an opposing wall to make a functional desk space. The Acton stools with sherpa fabric are perfect for kids to sit and do their homework. One of our favorite finds at Trove are the student benches. The reclaimed wood benches from rural Chinese farmhouses can easily make a statement in any space.  

Talk about office goals! We all wish we could keep our office this clean, but the simplicity of the Colter desk helps this workspace remain clutter-free. The clean linen wallpaper is beautifully contrasted with black and white artwork. Kelly loves to add a touch of color to every space with fresh greenery. 

We would love to entertain in this secluded basement area. With everything from a guest room, walk-in wine cellar, and a built-in playhouse for the little ones, we can't find much reason to leave! Basements are usually a space we keep the doors firmly closed to, but we are inspired by this fresh storage packed area. Kelly paired the bright fabric of the Sylvie sofa with the dark warm leather of the Mateo club chairs. She got creative and placed two Lander sideboards next to each other to lengthen the shiplap wall. We can also see ourselves enjoying a glass of wine with friends in this corner wine sanctuary. 

We all have those rooms that get put to the bottom of the list because we tell ourselves "nobody will see them". Well, this is the year that we are going to conquer those areas together! Stop into Trove with any size project and we are confident we can turn those close-doored rooms into rooms you will want to show off.
