Chapter 2: P2

Trove On The Go: A Fresh Take on a Modern Design

When we pulled up to this gorgeous home in Westgate, OH, we instantly fell in love. A bright tangerine door juxtaposes turquoise siding on this sunny cape cod that shines with personality. Delilah moved in last August and was excited to start making the house her own with the help of her Trove On The Go designer. Her style is classic with a modern edge and they worked together to choose the perfect pieces to create a space that's timeless and fresh.

A neutral palette bursting with texture and contrast grabs your eye as you walk in the front door. Flowy white curtains throughout the first floor create consistency and a sense of openness while a soft charcoal accent wall lends depth and allows the white brick fireplace to take center stage. Two Nash swivel chairs upholstered in a geometric fabric add just the right amount of tone-on-tone pattern to this airy space.

Each piece in the living room was carefully chosen to bring its own unique personality and presence. The low slung Butler sofa wrapped in a cool neutral fabric feels cozy, yet modern finished with delicately shaggy accent pillows. A single Manten iron-weaved chair adds a playful element with structural detailing.

A recent trip to Iceland inspired a continued love of travel for Delilah and her home is filled with meaningful accents that remind her of her travels. This sweet little down-filled puffin pillow is one of our favorites!

Reclaimed pine and thick, chiseled bluestone slabs on the the Fischer bunching tables bring warmth and anchor the room atop a plush hand woven rug (trust us, it's just as cozy as it looks!).

An ink black wall adds drama to their glowy dining space lit by a blown glass chandelier. They chose to mix it up with their seating incorporating the Warner upholstered chairs for tailored lightness and the Kinzie mango wood accent bench for a rustic element. Contrasting finishes and complementary fabrics create tons of interest in this dining room that's perfect for enjoying dinner parties or quiet nights in.

The dining room leads into a beautiful open kitchen that's accented with a waterfall butcher block island. Two Kelsie swivel bar stools combine flared iron legs with creamy distressed wood tops to add a design element that stands out against the clean white cooking space (check them out at Trove Editions!) Faceted glass doorknobs throughout the home allow its original charm to shine through modern updates.

The master bedroom effortlessly balances feminine touches with more masculine and industrial pieces like the iron wrapped Olivia nightstands and Sloan dresser.

Every aspect of this beautiful home reflects its owner's unique sense of style and Delilah's sweet pup Samson is no exception in his bow tie! Her designer helped her to choose pieces and design elements that don't hold back and the result is absolute perfection. If you're feeling as inspired by this design as we are, stop into Trove and ask about our Trove On The Go program. We can help you fall in love with your home all over again!

Happy Designing!
